Dr. Castelo was born in Manila, Philippines and moved to south texas when she was 9 years old. Most people in her family is in the medical so she grew up thinking she would be a medical doctor. That changed when she attended South Texas High School for Health Professions and had to take a mandatory 6 week dental class. She attended UT-Pan American in Edinburg, TX and was accepted in the pre-acceptance dental program with University of Texas Health Science Center-Dental Branch her freshman year of college. She has been working in private practice ever since graduating from dental school.
She enjoys living in central Houston and getting to explore the city. She loves trying new restaurants and food trucks as well as going to festivals and sporting events. Although she is a proud Texan at heart, she loves the Lakers and the Yankees. She has a dog named Lucy who she calls her daughter. She also loves to cook, bake and work on DIY projects.
